We just received one of these and, for the HUGE price savings, it is nearly as good as the Series II we have in shop, and the Series II we have is a very good one! Sound quality is very good, intonation is good and action is identical to the Model 52 (Series II) Paris Pro Selmer. The reason the cost is much lower than a Series II is because they are using more modernized machining in this model so it’s cuts the labor costs and results in a horn that still plays great with a lower overal cost of production.
It has clear lacquer, engraving and comes with a nice french SeleS case and a Selmer Paris mouthpiece. If you can’t afford the nearly $6000 for a new Series II, you are making a very small compromise buying the new “Axos”.
Here’s a YouTube video with more info about this great new alto from Selmer Paris:
We will include our Sax Alley $350 “New Horn Set Up” and FREE Shipping in the price so it will play better than new when you receive it!
Shipping cost is extra and dependent on desitnation.
