Eastman 640 and 52nd Street Tenors, Professional Models.  The 640 series has straight tone holes and plays very well with high quality manufacturing, good intonation and good response.  We like the VL, vintage lacquer, in this model which has a darker look, more like the vintage saxophones of the past.  The 52nd Street is an un-lacquered tenor with rolled tone holes, excellent intonation and overall response and plays with a bit more edge than the 640 series and plays a bit bigger as well.  This model is currently being played and endorsed by Bob Mintzer.  Both are great instruments at very good prices!

Buescher Student Model Tenor Saxophone #456,000

The lacquer is gone on this one, but it is in good mechanical condition.  The owner  said someone tried to straighten the bent bell rim with pliers, otherwise it would look great apart from the lacquer.  These are good quality student  horns with a nice sound and good intonation.

We will sell this one as is for $200 (and you can have it fixed yourself), or with all new pads for $695.

Conn 10M 'Naked Lady' Tenor Saxophone #262,xxx

The Conn 10M is called the "Naked Lady" model because it has the bust of a lady in the center of the engraving on the bell.  Conn was the first rolled tone hole saxophone on the market done with an incredible machine that is now rotting in a warehouse in the midwest. At this point in time, this was the best tenor Conn was making with a big sound quality that is outstanding with a warmth and fatness that you rarely find in a modern tenor.  The owner had a friend strip most of the lacquer from this horn a long time ago to increase the resonance.

If you would like a piece of the greatest of American musical instrument manufacturing history, this is it!  We have done our $675 "Minor Mechanical Restoration" on this one and it plays VERY well!!

Conn Transitional Model Tenor Saxophone #247,XXX

Conn's Transitional Model tenor was the model between the "Chu Berry" and the 10M with Art Deco Engraving that they never used again after this model.  This one was originally silver-plate, but the plating has been stripped and it is now un-lacquered brass.  Nothing sounds like a Conn!!!

Pads are Conn Style Reso Pads and in very good condition. Comes with a Pro Tec Contoured Tenor Case.

Sax Alley will include our $130 "Complete Adjustment" in with the price of this great, vintage, pro model tenor!

Keilwerth SX 90 Black Nickel Tenor Saxophone #110,XXX

The Keilwerth SX 9 tenor saxophone is made in Germany with a larger bell, wider bottom bow that give this instrument an ease of response.  The finish on this tenor is a Black Nickel Plate with gold lacquered keys, not black lacquer, which gives it a more complex quality to the sound and the plating is more durable than black lacquer as well.  Keilwerth is the best German made saxophone ever!

Comes with a Walt Johnson contoured case, one of the most protective cases you could buy in the past!!  These cases sold for around $400 when they were still of good quality and this one was made in that era.

These sell new for around $4500 so you are saving a lot buying one that was carefully used.  This one is in very good condition and just had our $130 "Complete Adjustment" put into it so it plays very well.

King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone #196,xxx

Good overall condition, original lacquer King Zephyr tenor from around 1938. It has the double socket neck, 3 ring strap hook and Art Deco engraving and key style.  Pads are older, but the leather is still soft so I think they will last at least several more years.  Sound quality is warm, pretty very big.  If you have never played a King Zephyr, you are missing one of the great American made saxophones!!

Comes with a hardshell case that doesn't appear to be the original case.  We will include our $130 "Complete Adjustment" and replace any bad pads at this quoted price before shipping.

Mauriat's newest tenor, with the same design as the 66R, but constructed out of a phosphor bronze which is 80% copper. The finish is un-lacquered with reddish look, due to all that copper, and straight tone holes. The sound is still warm and dark, but with more center and focus and a quicker response.  For those that didn't like the slightly spread quality of the rolled tone hole models, this one should be very interesting to you.  Hand engraved with abalone key touches.
